Jamb suspends admissions into law programmes at eight Nigerian universities

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that admissions into the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) program for the 2025/2026 academic session will not be processed for eight universities. 2. Bingham University, Karu, Nasarawa State
3. Redeemers University, Ede, Osun State
4. Western Delta University, Oghara, Delta State
5. Taraba State University, Jalingo, Taraba State
6. Arthur Jarvis University, Akpabuyo, Cross River State
7. Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State
8. Nigerian Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State

Reason for Suspension

The suspension was announced by JAMB's spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, following the Council of Legal Education's decision to suspend the Bachelor of Laws programme at these institutions for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Duration of Suspension

The ban on the Law programme at the Nigerian Police Academy will extend into the 2026/2027 academic session, meaning that admissions will not be conducted for two consecutive academic years.
