JAMB BEGINS CENTRE ACCREDITATION FOR 2025 UTME

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has initiated the accreditation process for centres wishing to participate in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). This process is essential for ensuring that all Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres meet the necessary standards for the examination.

Review Requirements: New CBT centres must first review the requirements for establishing a JAMB-approved centre by visiting JAMB CBT Centre Requirements.

Notification of Intent: Interested centres should notify JAMB in writing of their intention to participate in the accreditation process. This notification must be addressed to the Registrar of JAMB via the Zonal Director or State Coordinator in their respective states.

Registration for Established Centres: Centres that were accredited and participated in the 2024 UTME without issues should register their interest through the Centre Management System (CMS) Portal.

Account Creation: The Zonal and State Offices will assist new centres by creating accounts on the CMS Portal to facilitate their registration.

Autobot/Autotest Requirement: All centres must conduct an Autobot/Autotest on a date that will be communicated to them. This test is mandatory, and only centres that pass will be eligible for a physical accreditation visit by JAMB’s team.

Physical Accreditation Visit: Centres that successfully complete the Autobot/Autotest will receive information regarding the date for the physical accreditation exercise, which is scheduled for December 2024. Centres that do not achieve satisfactory results will not be revisited.

Important Notes:

The Autobot/Autotest is a critical step in the accreditation process
Centres that fail the Autobot/Autotest will not be considered for further accreditation.

This accreditation process is vital for ensuring that all participating centres are adequately prepared to conduct the UTME, maintaining the integrity and smooth operation of the examination.
